The Chocolate Bar
At first, there were two recurring themes in our dates: porch swings and The Chocolate Bar. The porch swing can be found over at The Houstonian, but I don’t have a photo. The Chocolate Bar, on the other hand, has been a source of great joy (and calories). If it’s chocolate, it’s here: ice cream, cake, chocolates. They also dip Milk Bones in carob and peanut butter with sprinkles for you to take home to your dog.
Besides being a great place to stop for dessert, The Chocolate Bar is a good place to get a gift for a client. You can find different chocolates molded into things for teachers, lawyers, cell phone executives, plus stuff for new moms and dads. Did I mention the chocolate pizza? Nobody turns down a gift from The Chocolate Bar.
We have added some new dessert spots to our repertoire: Swirl (with a location two doors down from the Chocolate Bar in Rice Village, plus Sugar Land Town Square) and Berripop (Uptown Plaza and Richmond) but I’ll never say no to The Chocolate Bar. Or a porch swing.
